As the Roni lays on top of me on the couch …
Me:”You’re killing me”
Roni: “That’s cause I love you, mommy”
Me: “You’re killing me because you love me?”
Roni: “Yes. Because sometimes love hurts.”
Ok then. The pain is worth it!

There will be a whole lot more wedding stuff coming, but this was probably the highlight…or at least one of them! I wasn’t sure I’d be able to pull it off because of my recent surgery, but I wasn’t about to miss this opportunity for anything! A big thank you to Bboo for choreographing it for us!
Enjoy!
It’s my girl’s birthday today, and I can’t believe how much she has grown up!
In our family, the birthday member gets to choose family dinner. Tonight, it was Cafe Rio.
As I sat there looking around the restaurant, I wanted to shout out,
“This is my family….all 10 of them. Yup, they belong to me, and I love them.”
I love celebrating special occasions because I know that we will all make an effort to be there together! It’s what makes our family special.
Ok…and a little weird. This picture says it all…one son with gold foil things folded up into his new “earrings’ and the other son making faces behind him while I snap a picture.
Yeah, It’s just a Vivas Thing!
We have two dogs, one of which has decided to come into heat. Yeah, I know…we need to spay her and neuter him. Trying to take care of him this week. In the meantime, we are keeping them separated. He's not taking it to well; he's miserable.
In his miserableness this morning, the Drama Queen wanted to know what was wrong with him. I remarked that he can't take it because he just wants to be with Roxy, to which my husband commented,
"Just admit it, it's all males. They all get this way around certain women."
To which I remarked, "Yeah, Daddy loves me so much, he'd do anything for me."
The Drama Queen interrupts and starts telling us,
"Yeah, Daddy loves me so much, he gave me clothes, he gave me a crib, he gave birth to me….."
At which point, I quickly interrupt and state, "Let me get this straight, dear, I gave birth to you."
(She does know that, by the way, it was just a slip of the tongue.)
Daddy went into fits of hysteria, stating one can never take that away from a women because she will always remind you that it was she that gave birth to her children!
Oh my goodness…we laughed so hard!
Now if only we could get Joey to stop howling and whining and eat something…………..
I'm sitting here talking to the Smart One. He's had a rough day. Jumped off his sister's loft bed, hit his cousin's bed below and then his feet flipped backwards, leaving him to land on his face, but he used his hands to block….and whalla!
We left urgent care with a splint from his fingers to his shoulder. Looks like it is a fracture of the growth plate in his elbow. We see the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow morning.
So, as we're sitting here discussing the fact that he leaves for camp on Sunday morning for a week…and he may have a full cast…I wonder about his hair; who's going to wash it, how will he shower, what will he do at the beach….
And he bursts out, "That's not what I am worried about, mom!"
Oh?
He's worried about the fact that he'll have one arm darker than the other!
And for all the guy readers out there…he states it was a cool fall, just in case his mom is making him look not so smart after all.
